Breguet 5817ST/12/5V8, TYPE XX CHRONOGRAPHS are the fruit of cooperation between watchmaking and aviation which dates back to the early days of the conquest of the skies. The venerable House of Breguet soon became interested in the burgeoning field of civil and military aviation, already supplying chronographs to American pilots as early as 1918. After 1945, it was the French Air Force which ordered the first models of the TYPE XX chronograph. As a reminder of this fruitful cooperation with the aeronautical field, Breguet has created a new generation of TYPE XX chronographs echoing all the essential features of the original: a robust case, water-resistance to a depth of 100 meters and the 'fly-back' function, which is specifically useful for pilots.
