This sporty timepiece is powered by a stalwart genuine Swiss quartz engine which presents a classic three-hand arrangement for the simple time and a quick set date complication at the three oandamp;apos;clock position.The large Arabic numerals at twelve and sixandamp;#44; as well as the bullet indices have all been individually applied to the hydraulically embossed serpentine-patterned dial. The sleek sport style hour and minute hands have been treated with the same white Super Luminova (except for the orange execution) as have the hour markers. The razor-thin center sweep second-hand features an arrowhead color-coordinated to the minute marker dots. And just beyond the perimeter of the main dial is the outer track chapter ring trimmed with gauge-like minute and seconds markers complementing the overall theme of the Monterey. The entirety of the dial has been recessed into the classic 44-millimeter round case which has been constructed of the finest grade of stainless steelandamp;#44; 316L.The bezel has been slightly beveled and treated with a mirror high-polish finish like the rest of the casingandamp;#44; and the stout guard rails protect the 7.3mm knurled edge crown. The stylish crown has been embossed and de-bossed with the Stuhrling signature logoandamp;#44; filled with enamelandamp;#44; and then polished to an even finish for a touch of detailing that even the finest sports-car would be proud of. With dual `Oandamp;quot; rings on the inside of the crownandamp;#44; the Monterey allows for water resistance to 50 meters. The crystal that covers the captivating face is Krysterna for durability and the cyclops over the date provides double magnification to make the Monterey a quick at-a-glance read.On the flipsideandamp;#44; the Monterey stays true to its theme with a solid stainless steel screwed-in case-back that has been decorated with a racing wheel design. And andamp;quot;where the rubber meets the roadandamp;#44;andamp;quot; is the rubber strap with a serpentine tread design that matches the dial. The dandy stainless steel buckle that fastens this everyday sport watch to your wrist features a matching high polish finish and boasts andamp;quot;tuck and rollandamp;quot; engineering.
