Stuhrling Original proudly presents its latest entry into the skeleton category of mechanical self-winding timepieces... the Cesario. Perhaps the most uproariously funny play ever penned by William Shakespeare is Twelfth Night with Cesario as its main character; and while there are many distinctive attributes defining Stuhrlings Cesario one of its main characteristics is its twelve-sided bezel. Like many Shakespearean works Twelfth Night centers on mistaken identity (instigated by Cesario) and Stuhrling Originals Cesario could also be impugned for mistaken identity as a timepiece that sells for thousands more than its modest price tag!. Looking like something right out of an era once gone by Cesario pays homage to the time-honored art and tradition of watch-making going back centuries. Beginning with a spectacular open view of the skeletonized and hand-engraved movement through its dial Cesario is appointed with vintage-style Arabic numerals for the hour markers all the way around its beautiful old-world face. The fancy indices have all been individually applied to the dial while the sharp Dauphine style hands are laced with a fine streak of luminescence. The 43-millimeter round-shaped case that houses Cesario is blanked from solid 316-L surgical grade stainless steel and harbors a slightly domed Krysterna crystal on its topside. The attractive dodecagonal bezel features a satin finish on its topside with polished beveled facets providing a glistening contrast refracting light with every move. On the flip side the stainless steel screwed-in exhibition case-back reveals the magnificent and reliable 20-jewel self-winding mechanical movement caliber ST-90089. Displaying blued-steel screws hand engraving and a skeletonized rotor this engine beats at 21600 vibrations per hour while providing thirty-four hours of autonomy. The Cesario is mounted on a 24-millimeter wide alligator embossed and padded genuine French leather strap. The final accoutrement is the stainless steel push button dual deployant clasp with the Stuhrling signed logo. Make no mistake this Cesario is pure watchmaking at its finest!.
