Hamilton is a company that represents a unique chapter in American horological history. Founded in 1892 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Hamilton was a company that produced some of the most accurate chronometers in their day; in fact, Hamilton supplied these pieces to the U.S. Armed Forces, becoming an official supplier. After being purchased by the Swatch Group in the 70's the company continued to produce watches here in the USA, and more recently in 2003 moved to Biel, Switzerland. The Hamilton Viewmatic Jazzmaster Rattrapante is a great watch on so many different levels: A skeletonized dial shows the intricate workings of this chronograph movement.
