Antique Button Jewelry, Victorian Button Necklace, Art Nouveau Blue Blossom Pendant on Antiqued Gold by Compass Rose Design Our antique button necklaces are made with genuine vintage buttons made between 1860 and 1920. This beautiful antique button is set on an antiqued brass Victorian revival style pendant. This high quality button is set on a large Victorian-revival brass filigree pendant. ABOUT THIS DESIGN: Jewelry of the early Victorian era reflected the romantic notions of the young queen’s courtship and marriage. Love tokens, travel charms and other symbol-laden, sentiment-infused jewelry was popular from 1830 to the turn of the century. Mass production methods in the 1800s popularized steel picture buttons, used on women and children’s clothing from the 1860s into the Edwardian era. Victorian pictures buttons, often with multiple layers, featured detailed botanical designs and scenes from European fairy tales as well as Classical art and mythology. MEASUREMENTS & MATERIALS: * Nickel-free brass chain measures approximately 20" and is adjustable * The pendant is about 1.5" across. * All items come in a gift box.
