This is a lovely very high quality Tavannes (Cyma) 15 Jewel solid 9K gold ladies dress wrist watch in great working order. The close up photos do not do this 82 year old watch justice. It looks stunning on the wrist. The beauty of the mother of pearl Art deco dial cannot be conveyed by the photos as it changes hue in the light. As you can see from the photo the decorated solid 9K gold case is signed by maker Schwob Freres & Co. (SFC) and hallmarked for 1930. Unusually the gold case top and bottom are hinged. The case has solid pins as would be expected. This gold watch is 30 mm lug to lug and 17mm across not including the crown. The Tavannes 15 jewel movement is a piece of art in itself (see photo) Black Apollo of England open ended leather strap in good condition. See photos for the beautiful condition of this watch. As with all mechanical watches this watch will benefit from regular servicing.
