This lovely beaded bag is made of tiny iridescent, navy blue seed beads that throw off shades of purple, green, burgundy, aqua blue and other colors. The bag is a recent estate purchase and from what the previous owner's family told me, it dates to the 1980's and was used specifically for a family wedding. The bag is in GREAT condition with all beads intact except for a portion of the side trim (approximately 2 inches in length) where the beads have come loose, probably from the strap rubbing at that point. Anybody handy with a needle and thread could replace those few beads if desired. Please see the last photo where I have drawn a red arrow pointing to the area where the beads are missing. This is a very minor imperfection that is not noticeable unless you are specifically looking for flaws. The bag is convertible and can be used as a clutch, or you can hang it off of the thin, woven bead strap that is 46 inches long. If you decide to tuck in the strap and carry the bag as a clutch, the strap takes up virtually no space inside because it is so thin and dainty. Bag measurements and specific details are: 5 inches (H) x 8.25 inches (L) x 1.25 inches (W) Scalloped art deco shell-shaped flap closure with magnetized gold snap Dark blue satin interior One interior pocket The purse is exceptionally clean, both inside and out. There are no stains. And, as stated, no beads are missing except for that small portion of the side trim. What a great date night bag or alternative for somebody who does not want to carry leather. If you have a wedding or another big event coming up, this bag will be a great alternative to the basic black evening bag. Will be sure to wrap protectively for shipping. PRICED TOO HIGH?
