Rare 1940's Koret evening bag with a curved false bottom holding a pair of opera glasses. This opera bag has Asian style embroidered silk on the outside, peach satin lining, and silvertone hardware. Koret is stamped in silver on the lining and inside the coin purse. There are double fabric straps. Within the top compartment are two pockets and a small coin purse attached by a thin chain. The hidden compartment opens to a mirror and holds the mother of pearl and black celluloid opera glasses, stamped France. In very good condition, with slight wear on the hardware. Opera glasses (or binoculars) are lightly soiled. The two clasps work properly and all stitching is intact. 6" high (15 cm) Upper compartment is 5" wide (12.7 cm) Lower compartment is 4" wide (10 cm) Straps are approx.14" end to end (35.6 cm) Click here to visit my shop: http://www.autena.etsy.com #K
