The fragrant blossoms remain – A perfect evening!" - Haiku by Basho Amber bracelet reminiscent of kimono and Japanese gardens with turquoise and onyx that combine with japanese style. At the center is a vintage porcelain Arita Toshikane Japanese button with an exquisitely sculpted chrysanthemum against a black background. This find inspired me to look to the beautiful patterns and layers of kimono worn in the traditional fashion of that country. The creamy flower with hints of ochre and sea green lead me to amber and turquoise. Each tumbled amber chip is handwrapped and chained together with vermeil flowers to form the chunky band. Flanking this are clusters of handwrapped turquoise cubes and large matte black onyx cubes. At the vermeil hook clasp dangles a charm made from additional turquoise cubes and a jet black jade sphere. The reverse of the button has been carefully finished to follow the design. Embellish your most minimal attire or pair with a boho frock! Vermeil is sterling silver with a heavy coating of gold. It wears very well and will give you years of pleasure in this fine piece. It should be maintained as you would sterling silver.
