Vintage Crocodile Bag Black Large 1940s 1950's Kelly Style Purse authentic vintage 1940s 1950's large Kelly style handbag genuine black crocodile NOT pieced on front or back brass tone metal snap closure on raised top croc & metal bar single strap 4 tiny brass color metal feet inside fully lined in rust color leather with 3 open, 1 snap & 1 large zip side pockets no outside pockets & no labels to indicate maker or country of origin Size: 11" tall not including strap 11" wide across front 4" at side nonadjustable strap width 1" with 71/2" drop Condition: This is in FAIR condition & although it is a very showy bag, it has some definite issues. The skins on the front, back side & bottom have no tears & the hardware works well BUT: all edges have rubbing in varying degrees & would need dye or a dab of black polish to retore the color the strap is sturdy but has some lifted scales & significant edge wear especially on the underside there is patina & scuffing to the metal parts the metal ring which held the strap on one side is missing & has been replaced with a paper clip bent in a ring shape the inside leather has some cracking, rubbing, soiling & a tear where the bag folds to close I always planned to replace the strap with a chain but of course I never did. I priced the bag very low because of the issues, & I will be happy to send you additional pictures if you so request I DO combine shipping depending upon weight of the total items purchased-even if the listing does not reflect that.
