Vintage Ladies Watch Automatic Zodiac This watch is unique. I can honestly say I have never seen another one like it. It is also different in that you rarely see an automatic watch for women. Automatics tend to be mostly in mens watches. The Zodiac company has been around since 1908 when Ariste Calame patented the name Zodiac. They make quality watches and when you see this watch in person you will be impressed with it's quality. The case is brushed stainless steel in an asymmetrical shaped case. The back is marked Zodiac, water shock resistant, antimagnetic, automatic. The dial is in excellent condition with silver bar hour markers and a date window at 3 o'clock. Hands are silver tone with sweeping second hand. Crown is at the 2 o clock position and has the Zodiac logo on it. Crystal is in very good condition. Band is black suede with a silver tone buckle. This watch has a short band. The entire watch from one tip of the band to the other tip is just 6 1/4 inches. This is easily remedied with a longer band. This watch takes a band that is 7/16th of an inch wide at the end that attaches between the watch lugs. The movement is automatic and runs. I have not removed the back because I can see the water proof gasket and I can tell that it needs to be replaced and I don't want to disturb the gasket. Do not put this watch in water until the gasket is replaced. This watch MAY or MAY NOT be running when you unpackage it. You may need to gently rock it back and forth to wind it before it starts running. This watch WILL wind itself by the movement of the wrist. This watch does NOT use a battery. A true green watch. This IS a vintage timepiece and should be treated as such. All vintage watches needs periodic servicing by a watch repair person. Shipping inside the U.S. will require signature confirmation.
