The sub-dials evoke dashboard instruments, the crown a gear, and the bezel a ventilated brake disc. Issued in limited edition series featuring meticulously executed details & cutting-edge materials. Whether viewed from the front, the side, or through the sapphire crystal back, all angles provide the same clear-cut impression of dynamic, aggressive, taut and complex shapes that are undeniably reminiscent of gleaming automobile bodywork.This watch features: Case materials used: Case: Made from black forged carbon fibers - an extremely light weight & hard material. Bezel: Upper part is made of forged carbon fiber, while the lower ring is made of Black ceramic with polished a finish. Seven - slightly over-sized - titanium hex-head screws fasten the bezel to the case. Crown: Blackened titanium with a red tip and the AP insignia. Chronograph pushers: Titanium & black ceramic. Push-piece guards: Titanium Exhibition Case-back: Titanium Dial: Flat black outer rim with printed bold hour markers. Also a fine printed minute & fractions of seconds track. Center is an aluminum finished in a metallic red color with the famous 'Mega Tapisserie' (waffle) design texture. Yellow eloxed (bronze color) aluminum raised flange with tachometer scale stands out because of its bronze color reminiscent of the magnesium alloy wheel rims on a racing car. Small running seconds sub-dial at the 12 o'clock position is an anthracite/grey color. 30 minute chronograph counter sub-dial located at the 9 o'clock position is silver & yellow. 12 hour chronograph counter sub-dial located at the 6 o'clock position is silver & black. White gold skeleton hands with luminescent coting on the tips. Date window located at the 3 o'clock position with an inner magnifying glass. Chronograph functions: Large red central seconds counter. 30 minute chronograph counter sub-dial located at the 9 o'clock position. 12 hour chronograph counter sub-dial located at the 6 o'clock position. Case back engraved with the inscription 'Royal Oak Offshore Grand Prix – Limited Edition'. Black calfskin and red alcantara, hand-sewn with red alcantara inserts and edges. Regular Tang (pin & loop) buckle in bead-blasted titanium. AP Caliber 3126/3840, beats at 21,600 vph, composed out of 365 parts, contains 59 Jewels & has an approximate power reserve of 60 hours. 22 carat gold oscillating weight (rotor), partially blackened & decorated.
