The idea of andquot;courtly loveandquot; came about during the Middle Ages when the idea of romance and chivalry went hand in hand. This was a special kind of loveand#44; romantic and passionateand#44; but also unconditional; it was the kind of deep affection a noble knight had for his patron Lady. She was a woman placed on a pedestaland#44; unattainable but the focal point of the young knightandapos;s honorand#44; strengthand#44; and conviction. Everything he achievesand#44; he does so in her name through the firm belief that as long as he is in her favorand#44; he will be invincible. This became the inspiration for Stuhrling Originalandapos;s Courtly Series.Staying true to the Romance collectionand#44; the Courtly and the Courtly la Femme feature a theme of hearts. The very first things you notice are the genuine diamonds set into the stylized heart design on the dial. On the Courtly la Femmeand#44; weandapos;ve added thirty-four 1/1mm brilliant round cut diamonds on the ride and left sides of the bezeland#44; bringing the total carat count to 0.35. A more subtle detail is the heart-shaped magnifier on the Krysterna crystal just above the date indicator. On the screw-down case back are more heartsand#44; stylized and free formand#44; which adds an artistic element to the already gorgeous Courtly.Letandapos;s not let the aesthetic beauty of this piece detract from the technical aspects; the Courtly and Courtly la Femme is powered by a Swiss quartz movement with a classic three-hand complication and date indicator.
