This is a lovely Vertex Swiss watch circa 1940 in great condition. This watch has what looks to be a lovely porcelin dial with some lines visible. The dial holds fancy blued steel Breguet hands and unusually a sub second dial at 9. The stainless Steel case has a lovely cushion shape and has the early solid lug and pin setup The crystal has some scratches/marks and looks to be original to the watch rather than an acrylic replacement. The marks on the crystal are not really noticable when worn. This watch measures 35mm lug to lug and 29mm across not including the large gold plate onion crown which is original. A new brown leather strap with gilt deployment clasp has been fitted. This fits a small wrist. if you have a larger wrist I can supply a new two piece leather strap or an fabric military style strap. As with all mechanical watches they benefit from regular servicing. See photos for the lovely condition of this watch.
