Vintage OMEGA 1940s 18k 750 Gold 17 Jewel 17J Ladies Manual Wind Watch Swiss Made Rectangular Face Convex Crystal Works > Beautiful, classic Omega mechanical 18k gold watch in a distinctive 1940s rectangular design that is appropriate for either a woman or a man > Case is 18k solid gold, stamped on inside 0.750 in the European convention > Gold watch case features extended horizontal borders and lugs > Watch is mechanical and requires manual winding, i.e., this watch does not operate on batteries > Inside of case is stamped Omega Watch Co. Fab. Suisse Swiss Made > Inside of case is stamped with serial number 10,713,304, which dates watch to c. 1944 - 1946 > Inside works are stamped Omega Watch Co. 17 Seventeen Jewels SWISS OXG 11025311 > Watch has a pearlized rectangular face with a sweep second dial at the six o'clock position > Watch face has the Omega name and gold logo, with an Arabic number 12 with gold dots and hash marks for the rest of the number positions > Watch crystal is a lovely upward curved convex in shape > Exposed part of the watch face measure 7/8 x 12/16 inches > Watch face including gold top and side portions of case measures 1-1/8 x 1/1/16 inches > The lugs on the gold case are 1/4 inch tall > Watch weighs 1 avoirdupois ounce on a postal scale > Does not come with a watch band > Watch takes a 17mm spring bar for a watch band; see our other listing if you need spring bars. CONDITION: Watch runs and is in excellent used condition. Has minor very fine scratches on the case from normal wear and handling. Watch has no cracks or breaks in the crystal, face or hands. We wound the watch and it ran, including the sweep second hand. It ran a few minutes slow over about a day, which a competent jeweler could adjust. Ships worldwide, insured.
