This charming pocket watch originated from the 1860s. It opens up to the wordings 'Depose Acier Garanti', which means the case is made of guaranteed steel. It has been claimed that steel was invented in the 1850s and this antique piece is indeed a remarkable piece of history if you could say. Given its age, it remains in excellent working condition. The clockwork mechanism is still ticking away! All hinges work and snap closed securely. Watch face diameter measures 5.5cm across.
