Rare Collector's 1970 Bulova Men’s Transistorized Silver Calendar Watch 100% AUTHENTIC Watch is in Excellent PRE-OWNED CONDITION (please refer to the pictures) This Vintage Collector's Bulova / Caravelle watch has silver-tone Case. This Caravelle movement is electro-mechanical, with a transistorized circuit powered by a battery and it has a balance wheel just like a mechanical watch. It is quite different the Accutron which has a transistorized circuit as well, but it has a tuning fork. This watch depends on a reliable little transistor and ingerious bit of electronic circuit. Watch DOESN'T depend on a mainspring, the way wind up watches do. Tension in it varies so much during the day which leads to unaccuracy. Also watch DOESN'T depend on th friction of contact points the way electric watches do. When contact points rub against each other long enough, they begin to rub each other the wrong way and Accuracy gets rubbed out. Watch runs. Face features silver-tone Arabic numerals at 6, 9 and 12 o'clock. There are silver-tone hour markers at all other positions There is Calendar Window at 3 o'clock position Watch comes with Black Genuine Leather Strap Movement: Transistorized Dimensions (approximate): 34mm Without Crown; 35.5mm With Crown; 39mm From Lug To Lug
