This is a very beautiful rare Eterna Eternamatic Kontiki model which is the most famous model up to this date produced by Eterna, the swiss famous brand of watchmakers. This model is from the 1950's of the earliest ones made of Kontiki line, it was first introduced in 1948 when the Norwegian explorer Heyerdahl took one of the watches that was dedicated to his journey across the ocean from South America to prove that people migrated from there. One thing that is remarkable is that it has a beautiful brand new never used Eterna genuine leather swiss strap that it comes with as shown in the second photo. This model is no doubt really famous. This watch has an original crown, five dots which is the logotype for Eterna with their prototype and design for automatic movements. This early Kontiki runs on an automatic movement. It runs good, self-winds if worn on the hand. It also has a day/date feature and is generally in really nice condition, there is some discoloration to the dial which is due to age. The back has a golden nugget stamped with a picture of a sailboat, a really nice touch! This watch is legendary, very rare and unusual with quite a story that it comes with. This item will come in a small gift box.
