The trench style watch is a transitional style between pocket watches and wrist watches which became popular for military use because pocket watches were not practical in times of combat. This model has the typical hinged back and thick wire lugs, white dial and bold numbers. Inscribed on the back is “To E.S MacGregor, from Grade 7 June 1916â€. The silver tone watch case measures approximately 33mm in diameter. The case and crystal do show signs of wear typical with a timepiece of this age. The mechanical movement is in good vintage working condition. A new, old stock black leather strap with white stitching is included. The original box and papers are NOT available.
