A friend of mine was in Verona, Italy back in the 80s. This has been stored since then and never used. There was a lovely older woman that made these by hand in a small shop in Italy -- the black is leather (!), with embroidery around the black lily pads, with the lily flowers croched in pink -- just amazing. It would take her all day to crochet just one bag and ladies lined up in the street to have a chance for one of these. Not marked -- these are hard to come by. It was stored for years -- and never used. The metal kiss lock separates a tad but works great -- and another cool note -- the chain is very very delicate and 72 inches long total! It measures 18 inches down on both sides and is woven like a square to open as you can see. Can serve as a purse or cross body -- just a wonderful piece. All handmade and it shows. She paid quite a bit for this but marking down for a new home. Beautiful statement piece for a wedding or formal with a little black dress!!!
