This a ladies size 6 pocket watch with a double case. The front and back of the case both are etched with a very Victorian design of birds and flowers. The front of the case has a small script monogram of "BFB". The watchmaker is Elgin. The serial number on the movement is 3988612, which dates it to 1889. The gold-filled case is made by the Dueber Watch Case Mfg, Co. The serial number on the case is 2109166. The watch case measures about 1 5\/8 inches. The movement measures about 1 5\/16 inches. It weighs 60.3 grams. This watch is in excellent vintage condition. There are no cracks or scratches on the crystal. The outer case has some wear because it was worn on a charm bracelet. The inside is immaculate. As a piece of jewelry, it is beautiful. The watch will not wind forward. It may just need to be serviced by a watchmaker. This is part of my mother-in-law's estate. It is not a family heirloom. Not certain when she acquired it, but it was on one of her charm bracelets from the '50s-'60s.
