Vintage Hampden ladies pocket watch that is a Dueber Special. The Dueber Special mark with an anchor designated the case as gold filled per my research. Watch is not working and is missing the glass. Beautiful etched bird and leaf design on both sides of the case. The name "Rachel Barden" is engraved inside on one side along with serial number 4706506 (case number, not watch workings serial number). "1938" has been scratched, not etched inside as well, and from my research, this is most likely done by a watch repairman. I wish I knew who Rachel Barden was and the grand occasion when she received this beautiful pocket watch!
