Art Deco TKF brooch in a highly stylized oval open cut design of baguettes and crystal chatons. Founded in 1910, Alfred Philippe became head designer for Trifari in 1930 after a career with Cartier, Van Cleef and Arples, and created jewelry that mirrored the fine jewelry he designed in his early career. In 1925 Carl Fishel joined Trifari and Krussman and the company began hallmarking their jewelry KTF. This brooch is an exceptional example of their work and the piece is in mint condition, a rating that is very rarely given to any of our jewelry. The heavy rhodium setting is flawless and the stones are brilliant. It measures 2 ¾ inches in width and is 1 ½ inch in height, and closes with a roll over clasp. It bares the hallmark KTF and is numbered 38, a lovely piece of jewelry history, circa 1930s.
