This is a quality stainless steel Cyma watch 17 jewel watch from the 1950s made by the high end Cyma Swiss watch company. People in the know say that Cyma were held in the same regard as the watches made by Omega. This watch has the lovely Cyma R458 17 jewel sub second movement which ages the watch to around the early 1950s. The champagne dial is ageing nicely. It holds black hour numerals, hour and minute hands and a black sub seconds hand. The look and feel of this watch makes me think that it may have been a military officers watch. Interestingly the word Cymaflex is not mentioned on the dial. Instead it just says "Shock-absorber." Cymaflex is the name of the shock protect system in this watch. This slim case measures 40mm including lugs and 34mm across not including the crown. This stunning watch has a new twin pad black leather elephant grain watch strap fitted.
