Sharp 1950 mens mechanical 21 Jewel Lord Elgin solid gold presentation wrist watch in excellent condition. Quality made heavy case is stamped 14K GOLD S&W on outside edge. Inside is signed "Case and Timed By Elgin National Watch Co." Schwab & Wuischpard Inc. 14K Gold. Case measures 37 mm lug tip to tip and 29 mm across not including crown. Back has been personalized 11-29-54 B.J McGovern The Travelers. Case back has a couple of minor dents and fine scratches that I will try to show. Otherwise great condition. Case alone weighs 5.9 dwt.Dial is signed Lord Elgin and outer minute and sub second dial is crisp. Raised gold hour markers and hands are clean. Under magnification some minor spots are seen. Not obvious under normal viewing. Crystal is perfect.Mechanical movement is signed Elgin 680 U.S.A K903503 ADJ'D 21 Jewels. Winds and sets smoothly and presently keeping time sitting on my desk now. Last service is not known.Includes original presentation box in great condition. Very nice vintage quality made watch. This was quite a nice retirement or perhaps longevity gift to receive in 1953.
