Movado is a design of legacy with more than 100 patents and 200 international awards for artistry and innovation. Movado, meaning always in motion , has one of the most famous timepiece dial designs ever created, the Museum Watch. Defined by a single dot at the 12, representing the sun at high noon, this dial is an icon of Modernism. Designed by artist Nathan George Horwitt in 1947. This dial was selected the first watch dial ever for permanent residence at the Museum of Modern Art, New York, in 1960. And this is how it got the name Museum Watch .
