1940' Eterna-Matic Swiss Made Automatic Men's Silver Watch 100% AUTHENTIC This watch is in PRE-OWNED condition - Was Collector's Item PLEASE REFER TO THE PICTURES The basis of the Eterna Watch Company was founded in 1851. By the 1900’s wristwatches were just starting to become fashionable. Schild Freres, as the company was then known, started to produce Lady’s wristwatches from adapted small pocket watches. In 1905 the company changed their name to Eterna. Probably the most famous Eterna watch was their Eterna-matic. This watch was launched in 1948. The design of the automatic winding was one of Eterna’s greatest designs. The weight ran on small ball bearings making it very efficient, hence the trademark of 5 ball bearings. This Handsome Eterna-Matic Men's Watch has Silver-tone Case with Gold-tone hour markers at all hour positions. Movement: Eterna-Matic Automatic Swiss Made Case measures 33mm diameter excluding crown; 34mm (with crown); 42.5mm from lug to lug. Beautiful Dial features Gold-tone hour, Minute and sweep second hands. Watch runs There are NO BOX AND PAPERS
