This Vintage 1952 Universal Geneve has been highly polished stainless steel case, back the original shine. Measuring. 33mm x 43mm lug to lug. Fitted with a aftermarket black leather deployment watch band. Universal Geneve signed bumper automatic movement, Swiss made, has 17 jewels and caliber 138. Movement has been cleaned, (disassembled, clean and every part inspected) Sets and winds properly as it should. Keeping time comparable to a quartz watch. The dial is original, silver with texture around the raised stainless steel marks and hands. Their is a outer second minute track. Black Enameled Universal Geneve under the 12 and SWISS under the 6. Looks stunning under the new old stock sapphire, scratch resistant crystal The watch is signed and has logo's 3 times, dial, case and movement. Overall, the watch is near mint condition. Universal Geneve has always made great, dependable watches for over 100 years. When sold new, they cost thousands of dollars. This is a very fine watch, that look as good as it was new, maybe better. Universal Geneve founded in 1894 as "Universal Watch". Since its beginnings, the company has produced complete watches with in-house movements, and throughout the 20th century, distributed many notable and important timepieces. Along with neighboring Geneva companies Audemars Piguet, Girard-Perregaux, Patek Philippe and Rolex, Universal is internationally regarded for its style of craftsmanship.
