I am pleased to offer for sale this vintage soviet (USSR) timepiece MAJAK The watch is in perfectly working order.Amazing GOLD colored Figured Dial.Vintage watches cannot keep time like their quartz cousins and will need altering on average between +-5 to +-10 min per day.The watch is used but are in good cosmetic condition as seen on the images below but runs well and keeps time accurately as it has been serviced.It comes with a brand new leather strap. Very RARE watch from 1953 year Petrodvorzowy Watch Factory. The factory is named after the town of it's location, about 30 km of St. Petersburg. Petrodvorzowy Watch Factory was founded after the end of the Second World War in 1949 on the base of First State Factory of exact technical stones, which was founded 21.10.1721 by Peter the Great, famous Russian tsar. The factory produces only gentlemen's wrist watches.From 1962 all watches producing by Petrodvorzowy Watch Factory named RAKETA (it means Rocket). With 1954, under the government decision, the factory became Petrodvortsovym Watch factory for release man's and a pocket watch. Since 1962 a whole watch, let out by factory, began to carry one name "RAKETA". The petrodvortsovyj Watch factory was the base enterprise for working out of mechanisms, among which both antimagnetic, and water-proof, and for the people who have lost sight; with an unary and double calendar; especially flat, etc., in more than 200 variants of registration. The petrodvortsovyj Watch factory was the first in the country, refused assemblage of watch by one master and divided operations on the conveyor, the first, after a while, refused and from conveyor assemblage.
