I created a shadow box brooch from a vintage pocket watch. The watch case and the pin were originally goldtone, but over time, patina has changed the color to a warm bronze. There are scallops around the edge, and blue enamel work and rhinestone flowers encircle the crystal. The pin is decorated to match the watch case. The back of the watch case shows signs of wear, but it does not detract from the beauty of the piece. It is in wonderful vintage condition and is quite beautiful. The turquoise heart was originally a Victorian hat pin, the watch wheel came from a vintage watch, and the godtone swallows are new. I lined the back of the inside of the watch with reproduction Victorian scrap and added a tiny upside-down rhinestone to the wheel. All of the mementos are sealed in resin. From top to bottom, this brooch is a bit under 2 1/2 inches long and 1 1/2 inches at its widest point...... A very lovely one of a kind piece.
