Pocket watch Ingersoll 17 jewel Swiss made vintage likely gold plated. This ships via airmail (to USA) or expedited parcel (within Canada). Purchased by my/Lynn's mother as a gift for my father in 1960's/1970's. Earlier research I did on this vintage brand suggested the 17 jewel version was gold plated, though I can find no marks to that effect (I have not opened the back because I don't know how and don't want to risk marking the finish). The face says: INGERSOLL 17 jewels; Shock Resistant; Swiss Made. The watch is 1 3/4" (4.5 cm.) in diameter not including the winder/chain attachment area (which is almost 1/2" high) I wound it completely yesterday around this time (my earlier research suggests it is best to fully wind it) and it is keeping excellent time. Condition is near new: the rear shows faint buffing --my Dad wore it proudly attached to his best suit on a gold chain on special occasions----but otherwise it is in excellent condition.
