1929 J W BENSON SILVER CASED POCKET WATCH THE BANK IN WORKING ORDER Description : Antique Circa 1929 silver cased J W Benson pocket watch The Bank in good working order. The dial is white enamel with black Roman numerals and gold coloured hands and marked J W Benson, London. The movement is jewelled with a lever escapement, clean with a good strong tick keeping good time and marked The Bank, Best London Make, T3879, J W Benson, Ludgate Hill London. The back covers are marked to the inside JWB Ltd with London silver hallmarks for 1929 and the number 3879 the same as the movement. It is button wind and pin pillar set. The case is clean and bright and has worn as to its age with all the covers closing nice and tight. The dial and dial glass are both clean and clear and free from any chips or cracks, otherwise in good condition. Measures 48mm excluding crown. This is a top quality watch from a top quality maker and comes supplied in a nice leather covered pocket watch box.
