A vintage Grana Kurth Freres mechanical watch Band most comfortably fits a 6 1/2" wrist (give or take a little) Rare and hard to find to find any info on; this is what I found, according to a forum: "Freres Kurth (freres is French for "brothers") Alfred and Adolph started making movements for other watch companies in 1888. Their company was called Certina Kurth Freres, SA. As it grew, they started making whole watches and putting their own name on it. These watches were very well-built and highly respected throughout Switzerland. The Kurths named their watches Grana because that is the Latin name for the Swiss town of Grenchen where they lived. Just before World War II their watch brand was oficially changed to Certina, and the Grana name disappeared. By this time the company had 250 employees (it would peak to 900 by 1972). The inside of the watch reads "14K Gold, L&K, 3884". The glass on the face is raised slightly and there are shallow chips all along the outer edge and a scratch in the center. Otherwise, the gold around the face is in great condition. The band is Spiedel brand, which is US made, so the band was replaced at one time. This watch winds and rotates, however, accuracy has not been tested. Please bid with this in mind, because we do not accept returns.
