Take a good, long look at this noteworthy antique ELGIN pocket watch because they are not found in better condition than this! The striking size 16 solid 14k gold hunting case is superb with no dings or deep scratches and features artfully engraved 5 point stars on both lids. The double hinged, 3-lid case design measures approximately 51mm in diameter not including the crown and is signed KEYSTONE 14k. Most remarkably, the case is MONOGRAM FREE! The factory original double sunk porcelain dial on this timepiece is in splendid condition as well. The dial features the Elgin logo in black, black roman numerals, black subsidiary seconds register numbers and black outer minute markers all against the brilliant white porcelain dial. The hands are the original factory-blued spade pointer hands. Opening the watch back reveals the ELGIN Watch Co. factory signed movement with serial #2485915 indicating a production year of 1886. The lever set movement is clean, winds properly, keeps time and functions as it should but no warranty is offered for its future performance.
