This fantastic late Victorian or Early Edwardian gold filled pocket watch or chatelaine chain features a fabulous carved carnelian watch fob. Long enough to be worn as a pendant necklace at 15" this unique, 10K gold filled (not marked but acid tested) pocket watch chain features unique oval, four wire links separated by small circle links. This is a dainty chain so was most likely for a woman's pocket watch or chatelaine. A large carved carnelian, gladiator intaglio is framed by a curling, open work, gold filled frame. The pendant measures 1 3/8" by 1 1/4" and is in excellent condition. It is suspended from a spring ring clasp in fine working order. The swivel clasp is signed JFSS and 1/10 14K. Fabulous find!
